Dr. Batien Rance is associate Professor of Medical Informatics at University of Paris Cité, School of Medicine and European Hospital Georges Pompidou, Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris.​

He is head of the data platform of the CARPEM research program (CAncer Research for PErsonalized Medicine) which brings together 350 researchers and physicians dedicated to cancer care and research.
